Cambridge IPQ (Independent Project Qualification) — an independent research project under supervision. Equivalent to half an A-Level: 28 UCAS tariff points for A*, 24 for A, 20 for B. Student chooses any topic (interdisciplinary), formulates a research question, conducts a literature review, collects and analyses data, writes a 5000-word report, presents findings. Assessed on: AO1 Manage (planning, time management, 20%), AO2 Use Resources (research skills, 30%), AO3 Develop and Realise (analysis, argumentation, 40%), AO4 Review (reflection, self-evaluation, 10%). Ideal for students planning university (equivalent to EPQ/IB Extended Essay).
